Common Performance Related Issues Encountered By All Athletes

Motivation and goal-setting are two common performance related issues that athletes of all levels seek the services provided by a performance enhancement consultant.  Motivation and goal-setting improves the performance of athletes.  However, lack of motivation and not setting goals properly can negatively impact the performance of athletes.  As a performance enhancement consultant, I offer to help athletes of all levels learn performance enhancement skills to perform at their peak consistently.  Athletes learn performance enhancement skills in working together with a performance enhancement consultant during consultation sessions to solve those performance issues mentioned above as well as other issues that negatively impact their ability to reach peak performance.  This includes proper goal setting techniques, focusing on successful performances to help increase confidence, and focusing on the proper aspects of performance to give themselves the best chance to perform well.  Other techniques that I offer to teach athletes are making practice similar to competition, adjusting or forming new goals to help with confidence and motivation, and using strategies against negative self-talk.  After consultation sessions, an athlete experiences increase in confidence and motivation level from gaining knowledge in forming positive routines, forming habits, maintaining positive routines, maintaining habits, and gaining knowledge on other tools to help them perform well in key moments under pressure and perform at their peak consistently.
